SIV or Pilotage courses are designed to develop and improve your piloting skills in all situations. These courses are a ideal to help you progress safely as a pilot. As well as developing your technical skills you will also improve your confidence in your skills and equipment.
You will develop rapid descent techniques, learn to manage flight incidents and even learn basic acrobatic manoeuvres if you wish. Whether you are already an XC, acrobatic pilot or leisure pilot our SIV courses will help you become more relaxed, confident and safe in flight. Your training programme will be individually tailored to your experience, skills and needs.
You should be able to take off and land independently in varied conditions.
Monte Baldo, Lake Garda, Italy. With 1700m altitude between take off and landing, Malcesine is an Ideal site for SIV courses. The take off is a large grassy slope where also great for ground handling and soaring flights in the right conditions.
- The cost of the cable car is not included, 11€ per uplift (6 during the course)
- Transport to Malcesine is not included in the course costs.
- You will also need to take a taxi once per day (3€) from the landing to the cable car.
- The meeting point on the first day will be at the landing at 14:00
- The closest airports are Venice and Milan
Your accommodation is not included in the course cost, you have a wide choice according to your budget and taste, from camping to luxury hotels.
You should come quipped with the following equipment:
- Certified paraglider within the weight range
- Reserve parachute, repacked within 6 months and of the correct size
- Certified Harness
- Helmet certified EN 966 or equivalent
- Radio VHF
- Change of clothes and towel
INFINITFLY will provide the following equipment:
- Waterproof bag for the radio
- Earpieces for most major radios
- Self inflating life vest
4 days of training with a fifth day in case of bad weather.

INIITFLY is fully insured via the FFVL for SIV courses
You must have a valid 3rd party liability insurance for paragliding in Italy
We also advise an individual accident and repatriation insurance, this can be purchased through the FFVL.
You can recieve a copy of the videos of your flights after the course, videos will be supplied on an SD card for an additional charge of 10€
